National Trails Day Hike!

Celebrate National Trails Day in Woodridge

Woodridge, NY – Saturday, June 7th from 10:00-11:00AM, the public is invited to join Trailkeeper.org partners for a National Trails Day celebratory hike. The American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day® is the country’s largest celebration of trails. Following the hike, come along to the opening day of the Rock Hill Farmers’ Market.

Meet at 9:45AM at Krieger Park on Greenville Road in Woodridge, NY to explore an easy 3.6 mile segment of the the former tracks of the Ontario & Western Railway company -- granted a second life as the “Rails to Trails” hiking and biking path. 

Afterwards, everyone is invited to the Rock Hill Famers’ Market to listen to live music and stock up on local fruits, vegetables and other delicious Catskills’ goods. This year, the Rock Hill Farmers’ Market is a Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) approved market. Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) provides checks to women, infants and children through the Women, Infants and Children Program (WIC) and to seniors in the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) for the purchase of locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables. The fresh fruits and vegetables can be purchased with checks at farmers' markets during the summer and fall.
